Brantt reflects back on his very first experience in an AA meeting, being relieved of his duties with the Los Angeles Kings, what some of the differences were in his life after getting sober and facing the real fears of day-to-day life in recovery.

Joe's amazing story of going from working for multiple alcohol companies, smoking two packs a day and battling the bottle to getting his first breakout role in 'True Blood' and finding success and sobriety.

In the very first episode of UnHammered, Brantt chats about how this show came to be and what he looks to accomplish while exploring stories from his best selling book 'PainKiller: A Memoir of Big League Addiction'. Brantt also talks about his friend Chris Simon, his take on Valeri Nichushkin entering Stage 3 of the Player Assistance Program of the NHLPA and NHL and why he looks forward to taking it one week at a time with his listeners.
